Students explored the engineering behind some of the world’s most iconic towers through digital research and shared their findings with fantastic presentations. To put their skills to the test, they then took on a hands-on challenge—designing and building their own towers using spaghetti and marshmallows!

A Day in Mrs. Mullins 4th Class: Our Thursday bega A Day in Mrs. Mullins 4th Class:
Our Thursday began on a high note with Music, as the children practised and performed a wonderful song they have been working on with Alan from ‘Music Generation’. They showed great competence in both lyrics and melody. 🎵 🎤
In English, we focused on our Words Their Way word sorts, alongside reading comprehension activities and an exploration of the Procedure genre. 📚
After break, we moved on to Maths, where we explored the properties of 2D shapes, learning to identify and describe both regular and irregular shapes with growing confidence. 🟨🔹
During Gaeilge, we enjoyed comhrá bunaithe ar Caitheamh Aimsire, with the children actively participating in conversations about hobbies and pastimes. ⚽️🎸
Following the big break, the class put the finishing touches on their projects about various European countries. The level of teamwork, research, creativity, and presentation skills on display was fantastic. 🇪🇺🌍
Stand proud, Rang 4 — brilliant work! 🌟
And that’s a snapshot of a busy and wonderful day in our classroom. ☺️

A busy day in Ms Wilson’s Senior Infant class! ✨✨ A busy day in Ms Wilson’s Senior Infant class! ✨✨
We started our day with a trip to the Aistear room. The children learned about visiting a doctor’s surgery. We had great fun using role play! 🩺🥼

In our Gaeilge lesson we sang our song 🎵
Cad ata sa Ghairdin!
We then played bingo.

We got creative in art and designed & printed colourful umbrellas ☔️ ☂️

We worked as scientists and carried out some experiments. We tested some materials to investigate if they were waterproof. 💦💦
Next up was maths & money. We set up a toy shop in our classroom. The children had great fun! 💸💶💰

In literacy, we started our new genre- procedure. The children used iPads to create & draw a house. We then recorded their procedures orally on the app. 💻
A great day of learning by all!
